NewsFeeds update

The Zcash Community Grants committee withdrew a 29 October proposal to reallocate about 98,000 ZEC for future mining rewards after community opposition, saying future funding should follow Zcash's normal governance process. The committee still collects about 144 ZEC a day until a network upgrade changes the rules.

The story so far: Zcash community grants funding proposal

A draft Zcash proposal would redirect the 8% block subsidy from Zcash Community Grants to development and a legal defence fund, and send about 50,000 ZEC to an unusable address. The ZCG committee has now withdrawn a 29 October proposal to reallocate about 98,000 ZEC after community opposition.
