In simple words
Imagine neighbours sharing their spare rooms as one big hotel, and getting paid in hotel points.
DePIN does this for machines: people share their computers or devices and earn tokens.
The technical side
DePIN projects use tokens to reward people who run hardware and to charge users for the service. Examples include Filecoin (storage), Helium (wireless coverage), and Render and io.net (GPU computing for graphics and AI). The name became common in 2022 and 2023.
The model can grow a network fast, but rewards often depend on the token price, and real paying demand is much smaller than token values suggest for many projects.
DePIN kya hai?
DePIN mein log apne GPU, storage ya device network ko dete hain aur badle mein crypto token kamate hain. Kai AI projects isi pe chalte hain.
