An AI system that can plan steps and use tools on its own, such as searching, clicking or sending messages, to finish a task.

In simple words
A normal chatbot is like a friend who gives you directions. An AI agent is like a friend who takes your bag and goes to the shop for you.
It does not just talk. It takes steps to get the job done.
The technical side
An AI agent wraps a language model in a loop: the model decides the next action, calls a tool (a search, an API, a browser, a code runner), reads the result and repeats until the task is done or it needs a person. Standards such as MCP and function calling give agents access to tools.
Agents can save time on multi-step work, but they can also make mistakes at each step, so real deployments limit what they may do and keep a person in charge of important actions.
AI Agent kya hai?
AI agent sirf jawab nahi deta, khud kaam bhi karta hai: search karna, form bharna, message bhejna. Bas usse kaam bata do, wo steps khud plan karta hai.
