The fee paid to a blockchain network to process a transaction or run a smart contract, best known on Ethereum.

In simple words
Think of a toll road. Every car pays a small toll to use it. When the road is crowded, the toll goes up.
On a blockchain, that toll is the gas fee.
The technical side
On Ethereum, every operation costs an amount of “gas”, and users pay for it in ETH, priced in gwei (a billionth of an ETH). Since the London upgrade (EIP-1559, August 2021) each block has a base fee that is burned, plus an optional tip to the validator. Fees rise when many people want space in the next blocks.
Layer 2 networks bundle many transactions together to cut fees, and other chains such as Solana charge far less per transaction.
Gas Fee kya hai?
Gas fee blockchain ka toll tax hai. Transaction bhejne pe dena padta hai, aur network busy ho toh fee badh jaati hai.
