In simple words
Imagine a swap box in a park. You put in your marble and take out a sticker, following the rules painted on the box. No shopkeeper is there.
A DEX is that swap box, on a blockchain.
The technical side
A decentralised exchange lets users trade tokens directly from their wallets through smart contracts. Most use an automated market maker (AMM): prices come from pools of two tokens and a formula, not from an order book. Uniswap, launched in 2018, is the best known; Curve, PancakeSwap and Jupiter are others.
DEXs need no account or ID check, but users bear the risks of bad tokens, contract bugs and price slippage on big trades.
DEX kya hai?
DEX ek aisa exchange hai jahan koi company beech mein nahi hoti. Tum apne wallet se seedha token badalte ho, smart contract ke rules se.
