  1. ENS Labs proposes moving new .eth registrations to ENSv2

ENS Labs has proposed launching ENSv2 on the Ethereum mainnet and ending new .eth registrations on ENSv1, so new domains could only be registered on ENSv2 if the plan passes an ENS DAO vote. Existing ENSv1 domains could still be renewed without migrating, while expired ones could be re-registered only on ENSv2, and ENS Labs plans to hand ENSv2 administrative authority to ENS DAO after launch.
