   Mercado Bitcoin confirms security incident and pauses deposits and withdrawals

   Brazilian crypto exchange Mercado Bitcoin confirmed a security incident and temporarily suspended deposits and withdrawals, saying customer assets were unaffected. Hypernative had flagged suspicious transfers of more than $40m across several blockchains, which local media linked to the incident.
