BNB Chain opened a community forum for NewL1, an EVM-compatible Layer 1 with no new token and BNB as the only gas token, targeting a testnet by end-2026. It now targets 200ms blocks for latency-sensitive trading and AI agent-driven activity; CZ said there would be multiple chains but one coin.

   CZ cited a post on BNB Chain's planned new L1 and said 'multiple chains, one coin'. The chain, whose name is undecided, would run alongside BSC, use BNB for fees, staking and governance, and target a testnet by late 2026 and mainnet in early 2027.
