Ondo Finance's ONDO token climbed 26.73% after three tokenized portfolios built on BlackRock-developed strategies went live, according to Ambcrypto, with spot volume up 276.89% during the breakout. The token traded around $0.5361 after clearing the $0.5201 level, the same report said, while Decrypt's Morning Minute newsletter put the gain at about 30% and listed ONDO among the day's top altcoin movers.
The move followed Ondo Finance's rollout of three Intelligent Portfolios that use portfolio strategies BlackRock developed specifically for the protocol. They let investors hold a diversified allocation in a single transferable asset. Decrypt named the tickers as BLKHI for high income, BLKDIG for diversified growth and BLKGRW for high growth, available to eligible investors outside the United States.
The token traded near $0.5361 after breaking $0.5201 resistance, having pushed through the $0.4083 and $0.4613 levels first. The daily MACD held above its signal line with a positive histogram of 0.0165, while the RSI reached 73.24, above the 70 overbought threshold. Dense liquidity clusters sit around $0.48, with further clusters between roughly $0.45 and $0.48, according to the 24-hour Binance Liquidation Heatmap cited by Ambcrypto.
Token rallies on launch
Ondo's earlier tokenization work wrapped individual instruments. BlackRock's BUIDL put a money market fund onchain in March 2024, and in July Ondo tokenized the iShares Core S&P 500 ETF alongside Micron shares, as Decrypt recounted. The new products instead bundle a mix of assets meant to be rebalanced over time, with holdings, weights and each rebalance visible onchain, a shift from digitizing existing products to building ones that only function on a blockchain, Decrypt wrote.
BlackRock supplied the strategies and its name appears on the tickers, but Ondo's disclosures assign the operational and regulatory responsibility to the crypto firm. Decrypt reported that the arrangement gives the asset manager brand exposure while leaving it with the least liability if a product fails, and that other asset managers are likely to copy the structure following recent approval signals from the SEC and CFTC. Decrypt also said BlackRock is not the adviser, manager, sponsor, promoter, underwriter, marketer or distributor of the products and has a potential conflict, per Ondo's disclosures.
The launch extends Ondo's tokenization pitch beyond access to single real-world assets, letting investors reach diversified strategies through exchanges, wallets and compatible DeFi applications. That broadens the potential buyer base and reinforces the protocol's institutional positioning, since the underlying strategies carry BlackRock's name without BlackRock acting as adviser.
Portfolios and tickers
Spot taker buyers dominated as price rose, meaning aggressive bulls crossed the spread to absorb available supply, a demand profile stronger than one driven by derivatives alone, according to Ambcrypto's reading of the Spot Taker CVD metric. The $0.5201 level now separates continuation from a deeper liquidity-driven pullback. Ambcrypto said holding it keeps $0.6000 within reach, while a weakening bid above that zone could accelerate a move toward the lower liquidity clusters near $0.48 even as the overbought RSI raises the odds of a short-term cooling.
